    Lanvin

The Lanvin fashion house was founded by the French fashion designer Jeanne Lanvin (January 1st, 1867–  July 6th, 1946). Lanvin was one of the most influential designers of the 1920s and ’30s. Her skillful use of intricate trimmings, virtuoso embroideries and beaded decorations in clear, light, floral colors became a Lanvin trademark. Marguerite di Pietro, the designer’s daughter became the ownership after Lanvin’s death in 1946. After several changes of the ownership, the fashion house of Lanvin went finally to Alber Elbaz in October 2001. He is now the artistic director for all activities, including interiors, and he has conducted his responsibilities in a highly personal, hands-on manner.
