    Alan Bilzerian Retail

    Alan Bilzerian, fashion retailer, founded 1967 by Alan Bilzerian in Worcester, USA. During the 1960’s, a time of change and liberation, Alan Bilzerian decided to provide New England with a fashion that matched the time. His first store “Body Shop” in Worcester offered hip designer clothing including printed corduroy and velvet shirts. Quickly he caught the attention of many artists and musicians, and became a household name amongst the fashion forward crowd. Bilzerian later opened a second boutique in Boston, where he sold some of the most modern European and Asian designers such as Issey Miyake, Giorgio Armani and Comme des Garcons next to his own collection of suits, shoes, knitwear and accessories for men and women. Alan Balzerian continues to be a go-to address for the most fashionable Boston population and visitors and has sold garments to many celebrities including Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder and Madonna.

    Bill Hallman Retail

    Bill Hallman, fashion retailer, founded 1990 by Bill Hallman in Atlanta. Hallman was a designer before he was a retailer, and sold his designs to various US-department stores. In 1990 he decided to open his own store that sold his designs in addition to vintage clothing and other high-end designs. The aim was to provide Atlanta shoppers with a selection of the newest and best apparel, accessories and shoes. Later “Inman Park” was added to the store, a department that offers customized shopping, with women choosing their dresses’ fabrics and men getting bespoke suits tailored.

    Isetan

    Isetan, Japanese department store chain, founded 1886 by Tanji Kosuge in Tokyo, Japan. Isetan has for centuries been the largest and most important department store in Japan. The store was created, by merging the two already famous department stores “Isetan” and “Mitsukoshi”. Isetan offers everything shoppers might look for: from high-end fashion, over food, to traditional Japanese items such as pottery, artwork and kimonos. The store is also known for having debuted many European designers on the Japanese fashion market. The group has been expanding with stores in Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, London and Vienna, to list a few, and plans to further expand in the future.

    Linda Dresner Retail

    Linda Dresner, fashion retailer, founded 1983 by Linda Dresner in New York. In a minimalist space of marble and concrete Linda Dresner’s boutique offers high-end New York shoppers a highly edited selection of designer clothes, including garments by Chloé, Balenciaga and Narciso Rodrigues. The staff is trained to provide an incomparable service and helps customers with their selection and private shopping appointments. Linda Dresner offers suits, handbags, dresses, sweaters, blouses and other accessories. The store was designed by the renowned designers Jay Smith and Michael Gabellini.

    Maxfield

    Maxfield, concept store, in Los Angeles. Maxfield is one of Los Angeles go-to addresses when it comes to high-end fashion. Men’s and women’s luxury clothing is offered in a highly modern, boxy and minimalist concrete building, including designer labels such as Rick Owens, Chanel and The Row. The store also offers a selection of vintage and new fashion, photography, art, music and design books and some vintage accessories and bags by Hermès.

    Open Ceremony

    Opening ceremony, fashion retailer, founded 2002 by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon. Lim and Leon, who met at UC Berkeley College and have been the creative directors of Kenzo since 2011, fulfilled a dream of theirs when they opened their first boutique in New York. Inspired by their passion for traveling and art, the store offers a wide selection of local and international established and up-and-coming designer labels and various lifestyle products found on trips to different countries. The concept has proven very successful and the brand has expanded with boutiques in L.A., London and Tokyo, an own label and collaborations with high-end designer labels such as Rodarte and Maison Margiela.

    Atrium New York

    Atrium, fashion boutique, founded 1994 in New York. Atrium is located on Broadway in New York’s Noho and is designed to resemble an old train station. The boutique offers a wide selection of modern hip-hop and rock inspired designs by established as well as up-and-coming labels. Atrium is especially a go-to store for jeans-lovers as they offer a large selection of different labels, designs, fits and finishes, some of which are exclusive to the store.

First a vintage store known for their great selection, American Rag over time has become one of the most fashionable boutiques in L.A. The retailer has started to expand with a second store in Newport Beach and has added international high-end brands to their selection. The retailer aims and continues to provide customers with everything needed to live a good life. American Rag has been internationally praised as one of the most trend setting and fashion forward retailers in the US.

    Jeffrey New York

    Jeffrey, luxury retailer, founded 1999 by Jeffrey Kalinsky in New York. Jeffrey was one of the first retailers to open in New York’s now very fashionable Meatpacking District. The former Barney’s buyer wanted to offer high-end fashion that could be found in other luxury department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman or Barneys, but in a smaller, more concentrated, fun and unpretentious concept. Jeffrey offers on-trend luxury fashion for men and women with a focus on customer service and a fun shopping experience, which is created with a DJ, an open shopping space and without bothersome sales associates.

    Stanley Korshak

    Stanley Korshak, luxury retailer, founded 1909 by Stanley Korshak in Chicago. Stanley Korshak is the biggest independent department store in the US. They pride themselves on carrying the best high-end brands and offering exceptional customer service. Stanley Korshak was closed in the 80’s because of financial issues, but was re-opened in Dallas in 1986. The department store has won various awards and has been named one of the 50 most influential menswear retailers in the US.
