Bebe Store
The American clothing retailer bebe was founded in 1976 in San Francisco. The name of the store is an abbreviation of ‘to be or not to be’ and was inspired by the play Hamlet. Bebe designs, develops and produces a distinctive line of contemporary women’s apparel and accessories, which it markets under the bebe, bebeSPORT, and 2b bebe brand names. The Iranian born emigrant Manny Mashouf owns 54% of the company which currently operates 312 stores.
