    Céline

Céline, French fashion house, founded by Céline Vipiana in 1945. The designer opened her very first boutique in 1946 in Paris, selling childrenswear. In 1960, the fashion brand extended its offer with a women’s pret-a-porter line and 3 years later with a women’s shoe line. In 1966, accessories were added to the collection as well. Céline herself designed for the fashion house from 1945 to 1997. After being the brands head designer for a stretch of 52 years, Celine stepped back and made room for Michael Kors who’d been reigning as the ready-to-wear designer and creative director from 1997 to 2004, followed by Italian designer Roberto Menichetti and Croatian designer Ivana Omazic. Since 2008, the widely known international luxury goods brand is owned by LVMH.
