Columbia College, founded 1890 by Mary A. Blood and Ida Morey Riley in Chicago. Columbia College is an institution of higher education, specialized in arts and media disciplines. The school was first founded as the Columbia School of Oratory and continues to be led as a private school. Today, over 10,000 students are enrolled in the over 100 programs the school offers. Columbia College offers programs of fine and performing arts, liberal arts and sciences, media art and business. The fashion program offers courses in fashion design and commerce.
