John Richmond
John Richmond is an English fashion designer. He was born in Manchester and moved to London to finish his studies at Kingston University in 1982. He know lives in London, where his brand has its headquarters. Straight away he created his own collection under his own name, while continuing to collaborate with such brands as Emporio Armani, Joseph Tricot and Fiorucci. Since 1987, Richmond has produced his own three lines: ‘John Richmond’ as the main line, ‘Richmond X’ as the prêt à porter line, and ‘Richmond Denim’ as the denim, casual line. In 1995 Richmond met the Italian entrepreneur Saverio Moschillo, who helped him working abroad. Saverio Moschillo provided Richmond with his own distribution network with Showrooms all over the world as Milan, Naples, Rome, Paris, Munich, Düsseldorf and New York. Richmond paid him back with the hard work, dedication, creativity and splendor of his collections. The capillary distribution of Moschillo Showrooms and, above all, the great respect and mutual trust of the two partners have allowed the brand to rise to its current position.
