    Kering

Kering, formerly known as Pinault-Printemps-Redote or PPR, is a French holding company, founded by French businessman François Pinault in 1963 and headquartered in Paris, France. The holding specializes in retail stores and luxury fashion brands managing the portfolio of Stella McCartney or Alexander McQueen, to name a few. Today, the founders son François-Henri Pinault is acting as Chairman and CEO. The company changed its name in March of 2013, looking for something with a more personal feel. ‘Kering’ is originally French and basically means ‘place to live’ or ‘home’. The two biggest competitors of Kering are the french jont ventures LVMH, as well as the swiss holding of Richemont, both managing large luxury brands as well.
