Paco Rabanne, Franco-Spanish fashion designer, born in 1934. Rabanne started working in fashion only creating jewelry for famous fashion houses such as Dior, Balenciaga and Givenchy before he eventually opened his own fashion house in 1966. What made him different as a designer was that he only used unconventional materials such as metal, paper and plastic to created his flamboyant fashion designs. Rabanne became quickly known because of this uniqueness and was called the ‘enfant terrible’ (terrible child) of the French fashion world in the 1960s.
