    Prada

Prada S.p.A. is a high-end fashion label which is specialized in luxury goods for women and men like leather accessories, ready-to-wear, shoes, luggage and hats. The label was founded by Mario Prada in 1913 in Milan, Italy. Around 1950 Mario Prada died, but his legacy still lives on today. His granddaughter Miuccia Prada heads the Prada industry now. Mario Prada began to sold leather handbags and steamer trunks with an expanding market to England in 1913. After getting older, Mario was looking for a successor for his label. He prevented female family members from entering into his workshop because he didn’t believe that women should have a role in business. Ironically, Marion’s son didn’t have any interest in the fashion business, so it was just his daughter Luisia Prada who took the helm of Prada as his successor, and ran it for almost twenty years. Her own daughter, Muiccia Prada joined the company in 1970, eventually taking over from her mother in 1978.
