Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren also known for his clothing brand Polo Ralph Lauren, is an American fashion designer who was born on October 14th, 1939 in the Bronx, New York City. Ralph Lauren luxury lifestyle company specializes in high-end casual wear for women and men, as well as accessories, fragrance, home and housewares. Polo Ralph Lauren has its headquarters in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. 
The brand was launched in 1967. Ralph Lauren started a line of men’s ties in 1968. One year later he had a boutique store within the Manhattan department store Bloomingdale’s. Polo Ralph Lauren launched its first women’s collection and his first standalone store in Beverly Hills, California in 1971. Its first international store on London’s New Bond Street was a global start ten years later. In 1993 the Polo Sport line came out. Four years later, in 1997 the company went public. As of 2009, Polo Ralph Lauren is one of the largest retailers in the United States.
