Stilettos are the term for boots usually worn by women. They have a long, thin, high-heel aka stiletto heel that ends in a very small rounded base. Due to its length which may vary from 1 inch (2.5 cm) to 10 inches (25 cm), the heel has to sustain a huge amount of weight. French fashion designer Roger Vivier founded the stiletto in 1954.
