Streetstyle New York: Dress of the week #30 – Lindley Arnoldy

    Februar 29th, 2012

Look at this beautiful Alexander McQueen coat that Lindley Arnoldy was wearing a couple of days ago when we meet her in SoHo. The writer of her own blog “The Flip Side” chose the perfect streetstyle for a chilly day in Manhattan. The fur hat matched her wool sweater and she decided to put on these nice leather leggings. Of course her outfit wouldn’t have been completed without her vintage Chanel handbag as an accessory. Well done Lindley!

High Fashion Trend 2011: Alexander McQueen – NO or GO?

    Juni 15th, 2011

Hey folks, as we already announced last month, this is our newest chapter Fashion Trend 2011 where we are going to introduce you to savage forthcoming fashion trends. Isn’t it a great opportunity to discuss with us why or why not you would wear our chosen outfit?

Today we thought Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2011 gown would be a good basis for a discussion. Sarah Burton who was working beside Lee Alexander McQueen for 15 years, is now the head-designer of the brand after McQueen committed suicide in February 2010.

Burton opted for a nurturing atmosphere in her newest collection: a pagan, Earth-Mother-ly spirit. She was also steadily reclaimed by nature: wrapped in embroidered fronds, in leaves of black leather, in a raffia-trimmed brocade, in the wings of monarch butterflies or an enveloping mass of feathers.

What’s your thought about this dress below? Would you wear it for a special occasion – yes? Or why not?
