    Animal Print

    Juni 21st, 2013

Animal print in fashion imitates the pattern that is found on the skin or fur of an animal for either camouflage, communication or to scare away predators. Animal prints are an alternative to real fur or faux fur and can be used on almost any kind of garment. They have been popular for a long time since they look expensive and exotic and hence are a symbol for wealth and status. Animal prints also became very popular in the US in women’s fashion of the 1960s bohemian movement. The most common animal prints are zebra, tiger, leopard, cheetah, hyena and giraffe. They are mostly used on handbags and footwear but can be used on any kind of garment as well.
