    Ascot Tie

    September 5th, 2014

The ascot tie often referred to as day cravat as opposed to the elegant and formal dress cravat is a more casual neck tie that became popular in Great Britain in the early 20th century and was derived from the type of neck tie British dandies such as Beau Brummell used to wear in the early 19th century. An ascot tie is usually made of a light, more valuable printed fabric such as woven silk and is worn with wide pointed wings attached with a tie clip or pin over the chest.
