    University of Missouri, founded 1839 in Columbia. UM with 35,000 enrolled students is the largest university in Missouri and has been ranked amongst the 100 best universities in the US. The school offers over 300 programs at 19 colleges including medicine, law, nuclear research and fashion design, to list a few. The fashion and design department offers a variety of courses covering design, management and marketing and taught by well-connected, experienced faculty.

    Nift National Institute Of Fashion Technology

    NIFT – National Institute of Fashion Technology, founded 1986 by Pupul Jayakar in New Delhi. NIFT is an internationally renowned fashion technology school that is supported by the Ministry of Textiles of India. The school aims to prepare students for a successful career in the international fashion industry and provides modern equipment such as production machinery. Also NIFT has recognized the growing force of IT in the fashion industry and offers courses specialized on this matter. Famous alumni include Ritu Beri, Nikita Anand and Prabal Gurung.

    Kingston University

    Kingston University, founded 1899 in London. KUL only became a university in 1992, but has for a long time been internationally known for its good educational system. The school offers a variety of programs to its over 22,000 enrolled students spread out over four campuses in London. Programs include social sciences, business, law, health, architecture, art and design. The Art and Design School was established in 1930 and has been awarded the Creative Skillset Tick for creative thinking. Courses in the fashion department cover all steps of the design process and include interaction with practicing designers and industry professionals. Well-known alumni include Caryn Franklin, Sophie Hulme and John Richmond.

    Raffles University

    Raffles University, founded 1990 by Vinod Kumar Gomber in Singapore. The fairly young Raffles University has experienced great growth in the past years. The university aims to create future business leaders in the fields of legal practice, science industry and commerce. At 30 colleges spread over 13 countries design and business related programs are offered and are taught by a faculty consisting of industry professionals. The first Raffles Design Institute was established in 2002 in Guangzhou.

    Copenhagen Academy Of Fashion Design

CAFD is an internationally recognized fashion school that promotes innovation and experimentation and supports students in co-operations with businesses in the fashion industry.     Lasalle College International

    Lasalle College International, founded 1959 by Jean-Paul Morin in Montreal. Morin’s aim, when founding Lasalle was to educate the Quebec population in order to prepare them for jobs that were in demand. The school rapidly grew and in 1979 a fashion department was established. Today, Lasalle continues to expand with 21 campuses in 11 countries worldwide. The over 10,000 enrolled students are offered over 60 programs including fashion, art and design, hotel management and tourism, business technology and humanities. The school is known for offering all courses in French and English and for its award-winning satellite campus network, that allows students in different locations to take part in the studies. Notable alumni include: Paul Davis, Lilly Berelovich and Marie-Claude Pelletier.

    George Brown College

    George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology, founded 1967 in Toronto. GBC is a public college of applied arts and technology, offering various programs such as business, construction, education, engineering, art and design. The school was named after the influential politician and publisher George Brown. On three campuses in Toronto over 30,000 students are enrolled in 142 programs. The school is also known for its award-winning distance education program. The fashion program at GBC offers education and degrees in design and business courses.

    Koefia International Academy

    Koefia, International Academy of Haute Couture and Art of Costume, founded 1930 in Milan. Koefia was first founded as the “Maison for Haute Couture pattern”, out of the invention of a new technique of pattern cutting on the mannequin. It was the first academy in Italy to specialize on this field of design. Offered programs include fashion design, costume design and fashion product management. Today, the school is known as the best Italian school for haute couture but also trains students in prêt-à-porter. Koefia promotes internships with industry-leading companies and contact with successful stylists, designers and journalists. Alumni are known to continue to work in the most prestigious fashion businesses such as Gucci, Armani and Diesel.

    University Of Applied Arts

    University of Applied Arts, founded 1867 in Vienna. First known as the “Kunstgewerbeschule”, the University of Applied Arts or the “Angewandte”, as it is frequently referred to, has been educating students in various forms of art for over a century. In 1941 the school was given the title of a university. Today, over 2,000 international students are enrolled at the “Angewandte”. Courses are offered with a focus free expression of creativity and attention to the effects that art has on the society it is presented to. The “Angewandte” organizes 200 annual exhibitions to display its students achievements. The University boast some very famous alumni such as Gustav Klimt, Jil Sander and Karl Lagerfeld.
