Latest Fashion News: Natalie Massenet resigns from Net-a-Porter

    September 3rd, 2015

Net-a-Porter founder and chairman Natalie Massenet has resigned from the online fashion retailer, ahead of its planned merger with Italian rival Yoox. After founding the leading e-tailer 15 years ago, Mrs. Massenet wants to explore new ideas and opportunities. Massenet’s departure comes as the company she created prepares to merge with Italian rival Yoox SpA. The entrepreneur leaves with more than $153 million after selling shares in Net-a-Porter and won’t be on board of the combined company, a spokesperson of Yoox said.

Latest Fashion News: The cat that looks like catwalk

    Juli 12th, 2010

Anna Dello Russo, the Italian-born Fashion Director of Vogue Nippon (Japan), is quickly becoming a fashion icon across the world. Because she only likes to dress complete outfits which were represented on runway fashion shows. She never mixes and matchs pieces because in her mind the runway outfits looks already fantastic – so why change? She likes to take the idea and put it in that way on herself. She doesn’t care if it’s hot, freezing, raining or cold outside. Whatever is part of the runway look, she wears it in exactly that way without any excuse.

This kind of high fashion addiction probably leads to the point that Dello Russo has to have a separate apartment for her dresses. “I have another apartment just for clothes” the fashion maniac admitted in an interview with New York Magazine back in February 2010. ‘Cause all of her dresses need a constant temperature of 15 degrees Celsius. This requirement can be only achieved in an empty apartment. And she also needs space to store all her stuff. Her shoes for instance, approximately more than thousands of pairs she acknowledged, are alphabetical organized in a huge library, rather than books. That’s also why her boyfriend doesn’t live with her. There is still no room for him. But that’s certainly the price you have to pay if you want to live together with a real fashionista.
