    Brioni

    Brioni, luxury men’s fashion house headquartered in Rome, Italy. Brioni always specialized in handmade, luxury men’s suits, altough they broadened their portfolio with other men’s clothing during the last couple of years. Brioni was founded in 1945 by the two tailors Nazareno Fonticoli and Gaetano Savini. After selling their luxury items mainly to affluent European businessmen, the brand became widely known in the mid 1990s, when one of their suits was worn by Special Agent 007 in a James Bond movie. Still headquartered in Rome, Brioni got aqcuired by the fashion conglomerate Kering, formerly PPR, in 2011.

    Richemont

    Financière Richemont SA, luxury goods conglomerate headquartered in Bellevue, Switzerland. Established by businessman Johann Rupert in 1988, the holding manages a huge variety of luxury and fashion brands from around the globe. Besides Kering and LVMH, Richemont is known as the third largest luxury goods holding worldwide. It carries brands such as Chloé and Net-à-porter, only to name a few.

    Kering

    Kering, formerly known as Pinault-Printemps-Redote or PPR, is a French holding company, founded by French businessman François Pinault in 1963 and headquartered in Paris, France. The holding specializes in retail stores and luxury fashion brands managing the portfolio of Stella McCartney or Alexander McQueen, to name a few. Today, the founders son François-Henri Pinault is acting as Chairman and CEO. The company changed its name in March of 2013, looking for something with a more personal feel. ‘Kering’ is originally French and basically means ‘place to live’ or ‘home’. The two biggest competitors of Kering are the french jont ventures LVMH, as well as the swiss holding of Richemont, both managing large luxury brands as well.

    Puma

    PUMA, German sportswear brand, founded by Rudolf Dassler in 1924. The company is especially known for its high-end athletic shoes but offers also lifestyle footwear and sportswear in general for men and women. Since 2007 PUMA AG has been part of the PPR French luxury group.

    Gucci

    Gucci, Italian fashion and leather goods house, founded by Guccio Gucci in 1921 in Florence. The brand is part of the Gucci Group which is owned by French company Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR). It is also the biggest selling Italian brand in the world and operates with approximately 278 stores worldwide. Since 1994, Tom Ford is the design director. He became well known for his turnaround of the Gucci fashion house and the creation of his namesake fashion label Tom Ford.
