    Omni-Channel Retailing

    September 5th, 2014

Omni-channel retailing is a retailing strategy that makes use of multiple channels that preferably work together to motivate customers to purchase a product. Omni-channel retailing started as multi-channel retailing with a combination of brick and mortar stores and ordering options such as catalogs and ordering via telephone. Today the rapid technical evolution has expanded the possibilities of multi-channel retailing for example through the Internet, mobile phones and GPS tracking. Using these multiple channels in cooperation is called omni-channel retailing. The use of omni-channel retailing has become close to mandatory in today’s economy though many customers find it an intrusion of their privacy.
