    Wintour, Anna

    Anna Wintour, British fashion editor, born in 1949. Wintour has been the editor-in-chief of the American Vogue Magazine since 1988. She became first interested in fashion as a young teenager. After she’d dropped out of school at the age of 16, Wintour made it to New York where she later got hired by well known publications such as ‘New York Magazine’ and ‘Home and Garden’. Throughout her career, Wintour became widely know for her extraordinary taste of outstanding fashion as well as her overwhelming support of upcoming designers. Altough, her though character and professional attitude earnd her the nickname ‘Nuclear Wintour’. In recent years Wintour even became an inspiration for the bestselling novel ‘The Devil wears Prada‘, written by her former personal assistant Lauren Weisberger. The novel later on was used as as script for the namesake Hollywood blockbuster, starring Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly.
